The Euro

The euro was designed to become the first currency in the market by the mere fact of being quoted in America. As the U.S. dollar, the euro has a strong international presence arising from the membership of the European Monetary Union. The currency remains plagued by uneven growth, high unemployment, and government resistance to structural change.
